The approach to developing an exceptionally fast rally car was inspired by the iconic S1 in rallying, particularly the S1 E2 at the beginning of the 1985 season, which served as our starting point.
Back then, the car had 550 PS. We aimed to create a car that is both extremely fast and similar in driving characteristics to the original, yet still manageable to drive, as high power in RC cars at the small 1/10 scale requires precise tuning to prevent the car from spinning out.
Harmonizing the suspension setup and the settings of the differentials was crucial, and extensive testing was necessary to ensure the car performs well on both asphalt and gravel tracks. Insights from motorsport were integrated into the development process.
The rally car marked the beginning of our story. Over time, we have expanded to include on-road models, derived from motorsport, with a focus on automotive racing icons. Our on-road models reflect this philosophy. Built on a modular platform, both the rally and on-road versions share a common foundation, yet differ in their setup and tuning of suspension and chassis components.
Drawing from our experiences, we've developed setup data sheets that we aim to provide to our customers. The Pro version was initially developed, and then the Advanced and Beginner versions were derived from it.
The goal was to make the car more affordable and less extreme in responsiveness, allowing beginners to enjoy model racing. The Beginner version serves as an entry point, while the Advanced version is for those with experience in RC and faster models.
Importantly, we ensured that the cars can be upgraded, meaning a Beginner vehicle can be converted into an Advanced one, and an Advanced one can be upgraded to a Pro level.
The basic chassis for all our vehicles has been further developed especially for you.
The WRC124 rally car is a high-performance vehicle designed for off-road racing. The development was done in cooperation with our partner LC-Racing. Its sleek and aerodynamic body is equipped with advanced suspension systems and rugged tires, providing exceptional traction on various terrains. The rally car features a powerful engine optimized for speed and endurance, allowing it to tackle challenging courses with ease.
With precise steering and responsive handling, the WRC124 delivers an exhilarating driving experience for both professional racers and enthusiasts. Additionally, its durable construction ensures reliability and resilience during demanding races. In combination with the HobbyWing engine and our engineered setup, we built a rally car of a new generation.
The main difference across all models lies in the engine performance. We offer our customers three performance levels, ranging from beginner to advanced driver and up to professional driver. Customers can choose their desired performance level and later upgrade the motor to enter a higher performance tier. With this concept, we will now outline the differences in each performance level as follows:
The entry-level models come as fully assembled vehicles ready to be driven straight out of the box once configured by the customer. Only a battery is required for operation.
The model has slow-speed options to provide beginners with easy handling and better control. The maximum speed is 30 km/h in this level.
The model features an
intuitive remote control with clear controls. In this entry-level model, you have simpler controls to facilitate the learning process of RC driving.
The model is designed to be highly durable, built to withstand beginner mistakes and light impacts. A resilient body, paired with finely tuned shocks and an appropriate suspension setup, ensures a solid foundation for novice drivers, all crafted to a high level of quality.
A reasonable price makes the model more accessible for beginners, especially if
they are unsure about the extent of their involvement in the hobby. Upgrading to more powerful motors with higher speeds is possible at any time.
The model can achieve a battery runtime of 20 up to 45 minutes when the appropriately specified battery is selected. This ensures maximum enjoyment during extended driving sessions.
Capable of reaching speeds up to 70 km/h, this motor setup offers thrilling acceleration and impressive top speeds for intermediate-level drivers.
